Novadry is a brand that has technically developed textiles with waterproofing, wind-stop and breathability to protect you in bad weather when you are participating a sport outside.

Established at the headquarters of Decathlon at Villeneuve d’Ascq Campus in the North of France, its team of experts are permanently innovating in different specialised areas:
- A centre of Research and Development specialising in the human body and movement.
- A centre of engineers for textile and footwear.
- An office creating prototypes.
- A laboratory specialising in testing the fabrics and their qualities.
- Quality control.

With a desire to make their technical solutions available to a large cross-section of the public, Novadry has dedicated it’s solutions exclusively to the Passion Brands of Decathlon.

Perhaps you know Novadry 1, Novadry 2 and Novadry 3 which were developped from 1997 on the principal of the three layer system. Since August 2006, Novadry has concentrated on protection against bad weather (rain, wind, snow), making available to all sports people technical solutions always relevant to their sport.

The research done by Novadry, which is transferred to the components used, is waterproof and breathable at the same time: the perspiration that the human body creates naturally is evacuated. Novadry equally researches different techniques of assembly to minimise the infiltration of water: such as heat sealing and seamless garments.

Novadry 1 became Equarea, the textiles that actively evacuate the perspiration so as not to feel damp or to become cold while playing sport or afterwards. Equarea is classed as being like skin, drying rapidly and perfectly adapted to sport.

Novadry 2 became Stratermic, the components that guarantee warmth and lightness from -50°C to +18°C. Stratermic is also rigorously tested in the laboratory and in the field and has high quality and durability.
