Our design teams have developed a new ventilation system used on two of our Quechua trekking boots since March 2008. Truly inventive, it increases a shoe’s breathability* by 30%.
Novadry, Quechua and Decathlon’s research centre have combined their expertise to increase comfort for hikers.
The vent Novadry Concept® is based on an ingenious system that uses the natural movement of the foot
(the foot arch moving up and down), to evacuate humid air.
This vent is made
of a highly ventilated material wraps around the ankle and guides the moving air towards the outside.
This innovation, used on two hiking boot models (Forclaz 800 trek and 900 trek), increases their breathability by 30%*, without adversely affecting their waterproof properties.
These boots have undergone extremely demanding tests in our laboratories and have performed extremely well in terms of breathability.
